The Gherkin is a London skyline art print by London artist Paola Minekov: her interpretation of one of the city's best loved modern landmarks in her geometric, abstract style.
The lines of the building flow naturally out into its surroundings, through the ground and the sky. The Gherkin's shape takes centre stage, supported by waves and straight, sturdy structures on either side, while shades of blue and green suggest the glass facade and the way light breaks across it.
“The Gherkin is an iconic symbol of London’s skyline. It has fascinated me since the moment I first saw it. In this abstract painting I’ve depicted its futuristic shape as it towers above the surrounding buildings, casting a playful texture of mystery, shadow and light all around.” Paola Minekov
A sharp, modern piece of London wall art for an office, living room or kitchen, and a great gift for anyone who works in the City.
