Circus I is a vintage circus art print by Paola Minekov, another of her studies in movement and performance.
The way the paint is applied and the warm palette tie it to the first paintings of her Dancers series, but the setting changes. The acrobatic skill of the clowns inspires Paola as much as the ballerinas do, and she uses their bodies to break apart and tie together the composition. Although it is an abstract painting, you can recognise the circus: the only scene in the series that points to a real place.
With its warm colour and nostalgic big top atmosphere, this circus wall art brings character to a living room, playroom or hallway, and makes a fun gift for anyone who loves the circus.
