Aerial Ballet is an original ballet painting by Paola Minekov, full of leaping, airborne dancers caught mid flight. Dark plum figures stretch and spin across a field of lilac, violet and pale lavender, their limbs forming the strong diagonals that run through all of her dance paintings.

The surface is built up with a palette knife in thick, broken layers, so the light catches every ridge of paint. Up close it reads as pure texture; step back and the dancers lift off the canvas. It is a striking piece of textured wall art for a living room, a bedroom or a dance studio, and a meaningful gift for a dancer or anyone who loves ballet.
